About Matia

As long as I can remember I’ve been a creative. As a child, I had every art and craft set I could get my hands on. My main inspiration seems to have always come from color, texture and nature.

As a public school teacher for 17 years, I used that creative spirit to bring lessons to life in as many ways as I possibly could to reach children where they were. After leaving the classroom due to an incurable illness, I began exploring my artistic style.

Now, I spend my days creating, along with helping my husband with our business and wrangling my 7 grandchildren. I love seeing the world through color and texture. I reside in Delaware, near the beaches where I’m free to create.
